Groove to the Beat at #RTBFest2024: Malaysia's Ultimate Hip-Hop Weekend

"Malaysia’s longest-running live Hip-Hop series", Raising The Bar, is bringing the community together once again with #RTBFest2024 on the weekend of 25 - 26 May, at KLPAC, Sentul Park.

Raising The Bar recently celebrated its 10th anniversary with the Virtual House Party back in 2021. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the series managed to navigate tough waters thanks to the unwavering passion of RTB’s founder, Jin Hackman (Old Head Jin).

Hosted by DAN $HIV, #RTBFest2024 will feature an exciting lineup showcasing the ever-growing Malaysian Hip-Hop scene. From local acts like AIRLIFTZ, DATO’ MAW, and MC SYZE to international stars including ALYPH, ODDISEE, and TUANTIGABELAS, this festival weekend promises a vibrant mix of Rap, Hip-Hop, R&B, and Jazz.

Representing SASAUX3, a unique and electrifying platform elevating the underground Tamil Hip-Hop/Trap scene, the stage will be shared by AXIZ, ELCFER, JANGGO, and others. Founded by JANGGO & the core SASAUX3 OGs, the platform acts as a springboard for emerging artists to showcase their talents and collaborate with like-minded creatives. With 10 shows and counting, SASAUX3 continues to provide an exhilarating lineup of artists passionate about Hip-Hop/Trap.

Set to make history, #RTBFest2024 will also host the first-ever #RTBFest2024 Conference, aiming to give back to the community. Featuring a panel of artists and creators from the Malaysian Hip-Hop scene, the conference will include Panels and Fireside Chats designed to spark open conversations on pressing industry topics.

Be sure to look out for the return of Think You Got Skillz, a Hip-Hop battle series, as well as Open Mics, Record Swap Meets, Exhibitions, Screenings, and Workshops. These workshops will offer lessons in DJing, songwriting, mixing, sampling, music production, graffiti, and marketing your music.
